Sitaram Yechury (born 12 August 1952) is an Indian politician and a leader of the Communist Party of India (Marxist). He is the General Secretary of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) and the leader of the party's parliamentary group. He was elected as the General Secretary on 19 April 2015.
